In the Dark - Two Sentence Horror Story

It's funny: as a kid, you often get scared of the dark and ask your 
parents to check under the bed for monsters.

What you don't realize until later is that, in the dark, you need to 
check that they're your parents first.

"My wife makes the best meatloaf. It's just sad I don't have any of her left after that dinner party I threw the other day."

(Hey all. I would like to start trying to do two sentence horror stories as a form of writing practice. For someone as overly verbose as I can be, I figured it would be fantastic for helping me clean up my presentation.)
