In the Dark - Two Sentence Horror Story

It's funny: as a kid, you often get scared of the dark and ask your
parents to check under the bed for monsters.

What you don't realize until later is that, in the dark, you need to
check that they're your parents first.

(Hello Lovelies, I haven't done a Two Sentence in a while, but this one popped into my head while I was trying to sleep (I know...great time, right?) Either way, I figured I'd share it for your spooky enjoyment. Check in Thursday for more Little Island Tales!)

  1. Too true ... not a nice thought at all - the little ones would be horrified having to think about that too ... especially if the voice was disguised - cheers Hilary

  2. Ooh, love this. A two-sentence horror story is so perfect for October. That realization at the end would be unnerving, for sure!

  4. Oh wow....now that leaves a lot to the imagination...maybe a little too much if you happen to have an overly active imagination. Shiver.

  6. Brief and to the point. These are the kinds of things that you just throw out there and say no more about. Shivers.

  7. I used to have an email signature that would go along with what you wrote.

Be not afraid of the dark, but rather that which the darkness hides.

  10. Nicely written horror story with only two sentences! I like that twist in the second sentence, as the first sentence is so relatable and normal. Until you read the second one.
